Are these rooms designed for two people (ie, one queen size bed) or four (ie two queen size beds)?

This early in the game, you can request one queen or two doubles.

Based on the room information on the Governor Hotel website, it looks like there are not many double-double rooms. Those who want a room with two beds at the Governor might want to get their reservations/room requests in as soon as possible, as the Governor website mentions only 8 of this type of room. (I would imagine the Lloyd Center hotel has more such rooms.)

Actually, we've got all 8 of those double/double rooms held under the Browncoat Ball block.

I just made my reservation today. FYI I asked if the group rate was valid only for the two days or if it could be extended. They told me they typically allow the group rate up to two days before and two days after. Might be good if you want to stay a bit longer. I am thinking of extending my trip a day or two.

I just changed my reservation to come in on the 1st and they did give me the group rate for that night as well. I am hoping to do a bike tour of the city or something on my own on Friday.

Getting excited.

Portland is a great place to see by bike. Let's see if I can get ShinyFab to give you some pointers for the best places to ride (she's our resident super-cyclist).

Thanks. I look forward to it.

I actually already investigated a bike rental/tour place that is supposed to be pretty good, so might go on a lead tour. We shall see.

Update this is the place I found

Gets lots of good ratings all over the place.

Due to school schedule etc, I am not going to be able to spend extra days, so am flying in from Boston on Friday mid day. I am taking a late (9:50 PM) flight back east on Sunday so am going to try to get my bike tour in that afternoon. I am stretching my trip as long as possible by going back to work directly from the airport on Monday morning. Razz
